Ensuring a safe environment for children and young people
We are committed to protecting children and young people from harm and providing a safe environment for them. We are focused on children and young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, across all our services and communities. We will ensure the cultural safety of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people we serve, and their families.
We have zero tolerance for any form of harm, abuse, neglect, discrimination, or violence, and have systems in place to hold each other accountable for protecting the rights of children and young people.
We ensure children and young people’s safety and wellbeing is embedded in the everyday thinking and practice of everyone at SSI, whether they interact directly or indirectly with children and young people.
We are committed to listening to children and young people, creating a child safe culture, and striving to do better.
